Which Vehicles Will Be Banned?

Diesel vehicles older than 10 years – These will not be allowed to run on Delhi roads.

Vehicles failing the fitness test – If your vehicle does not pass the fitness test, scrapping will be mandatory.

What Will Happen If You Break the Rule?

According to the government, if caught, you may face a fine between ₹10,000 and ₹50,000. And yes, your vehicle can also be seized!

Discount on the new vehicle price – A reduction of 4% to 6% on the new vehicle price.
Road tax concession – A saving of 15% to 25%.
Registration fee waiver – No registration fee for the new vehicle.

What to Do If Your Vehicle Is Old?

Get a fitness test done – Visit a government-approved center for your vehicle’s test.
If it fails, get it scrapped – Take your vehicle to a government-approved scrapping center.
Obtain a disposal certificate – This will help you avail discounts when purchasing a new vehicle.
